Wine panel discussion sells out

Just ahead of National Wine Careers Week, we were delighted to host an event for those interested in finding out more about careers in wine.

WSET event

We had a fantastic evening at the WSET School London for our recent talk on careers in the wine industry, kindly hosted by WSET Global.

It was wonderful to see such a packed room of enthusiastic WSET students and wine professionals, all at different stages of their wine education journey, coming together to learn more about the many career opportunities available across the UK wine sector.

The evening was full of insightful discussion, practical advice and inspiring personal stories from across the industry. From production and viticulture to PR, education, retail and importing, attendees gained valuable insight into the wide variety of roles that make up today’s dynamic wine trade.

A huge thank you to our brilliant panel for sharing their experiences and expertise:

Rachel Parkes, Head of PR at Nyetimber; Frances Trappey, Production Manager at Balfour Winery; Clarence Tan of Jeroboams; Sam Linter, Director of Wine at Plumpton Wine Division; and Bob Davidson, Programme Manager at Veraison Education.

The discussion was expertly chaired by Julia Trustram Eve, helping to create a lively and engaging conversation throughout the evening.

We’d also like to thank Nyetimber for generously supplying the welcome wine, which provided the perfect start to the event and gave attendees a chance to network before the discussion began.

The event marked a fantastic start to National Wine Careers Week, highlighting the passion, diversity and opportunities that exist within the wine industry today.
